Selection of grapes from Salento, classic steeping for 14/16 days and temperature-controlled fermentation. Ageing in stainless steel silos for 3 months, transfer to American oak casks for 1 month, final ageing in bottle.
Vivid ruby red with violet garnet red hues.
Intense and fruity, vividly recalling black currants, with toasted notes of tobacco and vanilla.
Presence of tannins but well-balanced; slightly bitter, full-bodied, dry and rounded.
Excellent with local dishes from Salento and Puglia, such as barbecued meat, mainly lamb and horse meat with sauce.
